These Terms & Conditions govern text messages sent by Supporters of Garfield Re-2, a registered Colorado issue committee supporting Garfield School District Re-2 ballot measures 4A and 4B. By opting in to receive campaign text messages, you agree to these terms.

1. Program description

Messages may include political advocacy and voter-education information about measures 4A and 4B, campaign updates, election and voting reminders, volunteer opportunities, event information, requests for donations, links, and responses to questions.

2. Consent and eligibility

Consent to receive recurring campaign text messages is voluntary and is not a condition of donating, volunteering, or participating in campaign activities. You must be the account holder or have authorization from the account holder for the mobile number provided. Providing a phone number alone does not automatically create consent to receive recurring texts.

Publicly available voter-registration or voter-file contact information is not treated as an SMS opt-in, and individuals contacted using that information have not necessarily opted in through our website. Any separate political outreach using that information will be conducted in accordance with applicable federal and Colorado laws and messaging-provider requirements; we do not represent possession of voter-file information as consent.

3. Message frequency and charges

Message frequency varies based on campaign activity and proximity to Election Day. Message and data rates may apply according to your wireless plan. Supporters of Garfield Re-2 does not charge a separate fee for campaign text messages.

4. Opting out

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to a campaign message. After opting out, you may receive one final message confirming your request. We will suppress your number from future campaign text messages unless you later provide a new opt-in. You may also request removal by emailing friendsofgarfieldre2@gmail.com.

6. Delivery and carrier responsibility

Message delivery is subject to your wireless carrier's network availability and is not guaranteed. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Participation may not be available through every carrier or device.

7. Privacy and data use

Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We will not share text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, provided that the foregoing does not apply to sharing (1) with vendors, consultants and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf (and who will not use such information for their own purposes); (2) if we believe disclosure is required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation or to comply with law enforcement or legal process; and (3) if the user consents to our sharing of such information.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile information or SMS opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be provided to GetThru, telecommunications carriers, and technical service providers only as necessary to operate the program. For more information, review our Privacy Policy.

8. Changes and termination

We may modify or discontinue the messaging program or update these terms. Any revised terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Changes do not create consent where separate consent is required.
